Cosmetics contain high levels of fragile oils/lipids that are readily absorbed by the skin as well as vulnerable to free radical destruction. Sunlight, air (oxygen) and heat are oxidizing agents that initiate the breakdown of oils/lipids, to create free radicals. Antioxidants control free radical production or concentration to their chemical capacity (i.e. chemical protection or blocking mechanism) until exceeded capacity.

The high level of antioxidants within Fulom skin care products can be diminished by excessive heat, air and sun. Fulom containers are double sealed with a screw top and liners which minimize exposure to air during storage. The opaque containers limit exposure to light.

Fulom skin care products are best stored at or below room temperature to minimize production of free radicals.
